Here are my top picks for places to go when you’re in Pineville.
If you find yourself in Pineville and need something to do, Main Street is the place to start exploring. Here, you’ll find tons of dining and shopping options like Kit’s Trackside Crafts. This local taproom and bottle shop has everything that a beer drinker could want. There are rows of unique sours, wild ales, IPAs, seltzers, and more to enjoy here or at home. They even have rotating taps to sip while you watch local sports inside or enjoy the recently updated patio outback.
With beautiful seating inside and out, Air Workshop is a unique space where you can join a scheduled do-it-yourself class any day of the week to learn how to make handmade crafts. You can also purchase tons of boutique gifts for any occasion or pick up some DIY kits for your family to enjoy at home. Air Workshop also provides day camps for various crafts—a perfect idea for summer break.
Next, there’s Margaux’s, which is a relatively new addition to Main Street. Margaux’s is a perfect spot for a date night, girls’ night, or just a happy hour charcuterie board. Known for its decadent pizza and expensive wine collection, Margaux’s also boasts unique gifts for the wine and cheese lovers in all of us.
To round off our Main Street tour, we popped into the Unwind tea and coffee shop. Unwind is truly a local gem. Open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., this spot offers everything from tea and smoothies to wraps and breakfast sandwiches. There’s even a tiny lending library to enjoy.
Stepping away from the downtown area, one of my favorite spots in Pineville is Pineville Lake Park. This is a paradise away from the big city. The park has fully paved trail loops around the lake for walkers and joggers, two separate playgrounds for the kids, and even a fully fenced, wooded dog park that’s sure to wear your pups out.
If you think your community would shine under our spotlight and would like to nominate your favorite places, let us know! Reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that your area can be our next Community Spotlight.
How to live mortgage-free while building wealth by house-hacking.
House-hacking is how I ended up getting into real estate in 2002. The first home I bought was a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home. I got a 30-year mortgage on it and I rented out two of the rooms. I had $1,200 per month coming in, which offset my mortgage. I was essentially living for free.
It was a little difficult having roommates, but was it worth it because I was able to claim that $14,000 of extra income I was getting per year on my taxes. Then I went to the bank and they approved me for more properties. I ended up buying four more homes and renting them out as well.
There are different types of house-hacking. You could buy a duplex , rent out one of the units, and live in the other, for example. You could also buy a two-acre property, build another house on the land, and rent that out to offset the mortgage.
If you’d like to know more about how house-hacking works and want to do a no-obligation consultation, please reach out to us. We’re also here to answer any real estate-related questions that you might have.

History has shown us that real estate is cyclical, and all the local statistics indicate that it’s an awesome time to consider selling your home. We’ve found that homes in the lower price points are in high demand. We recently listed a home at $250,000, and we received some 32 offers on it! If you’re considering moving up, no matter your situation, we’d love the opportunity to review your needs and wants regarding a home and to take a look at market trends so you know exactly what you’re working with.
Recently, you’ve probably heard talk in the news media about the economy slowing down. I always want to ground these sorts of conversations—they all talk about the future, but the truth is that nobody has a clue about what’s really going to happen. That in mind, today I want to reframe the conversation and let you know what’s actually going on in today’s market.
For your convenience, I’ve provided timestamps below that will direct you to various points in the video. Feel free to watch the full message or use these timestamps to browse specific topics at your leisure:
